Affective meanings along Osgood's Evaluation-Potency-Activity (EPA) dimensions for social identities, behaviours, and settings in French, as rated by French participants. Includes overall means, standard deviations, and sample sizes, plus separate breakdowns by male and female respondents.

Variables

  • term. English root word (lowercased) for cross-linguistic matching

  • element. Concept type: identity, behavior, or setting

  • concept_fr. French concept label as rated by participants

  • gender. Grammatical gender form (Male, Female, or not_applicable)

  • mean_eva. Mean evaluation rating (-4 to 4), all respondents

  • sd_eva. Standard deviation of evaluation ratings

  • n_eva. Number of respondents rating evaluation

  • mean_pot. Mean potency rating (-4 to 4), all respondents

  • sd_pot. Standard deviation of potency ratings

  • n_pot. Number of respondents rating potency

  • mean_act. Mean activity rating (-4 to 4), all respondents

  • sd_act. Standard deviation of activity ratings

  • n_act. Number of respondents rating activity
