Demonyms and adjectivals for contintental, national, subnational locations

A dictionary of demonym and adjectival terms denoting inhabitants of various locations, including continental (e.g., Eurasian, American), and national (e.g., Angolan, Salvadoran) terms. At the subnational level, it currently only includes demonyms for U.S. states (Wyomingite, Texan). These were primarily acquired from Wikipedia. The dictionary also includes demonyms from Greco-Roman antiquity.

Variables:

  • place. name of the location

  • label_type. type of label, adjectival, singular demonym, plural demonym

  • label. text of the adjectival or demonym

  • place_type. continental, national, U.S. state, or Greco-Roman antiquity
