Humor ratings for 4,997 English words collected from 821 participants using an online crowd-sourcing platform. Ratings are provided for all combined, and disaggregated into male, female, and young/old respondents (split at the median age 32).

A data frame with 4997 rows and 16 variables.

Variables

Variables:

  • term. unique word

  • mean. mean humor rating for all participants combined

  • sd. standard deviation for all participants combined

  • n. number of participants rating a word

  • mean_M. mean humor rating for all male participants

  • sd_M. standard deviation for all male participants

  • n_M. number of male participants rating a word

  • mean_F. mean humor rating for all female participants

  • sd_F. standard deviation for all female participants

  • n_F. number of female participants rating a word

  • mean_young. mean humor rating for young participants

  • sd_young. standard deviation for young participants

  • n_young. number of young participants rating a word

  • mean_old. mean humor rating for old participants

  • sd_old. standard deviation for old participants

  • n_old. number of old participants rating a word
