A comprehensive dataset combining multiple occupational prestige and socio-economic status scores across international coding systems. Each row represents an occupation within a specific coding system, with available scores filled in where applicable.
Source
Ganzeboom & Treiman (SIOPS, ISEI); Lambert & Prandy (CAMSIS); ONS (NS-SEC, OGL v3.0); NORC/Chicago (GSS); ILO (ISCO); Nakao & Treas (1994)
Details
Covers ISCO-88 and ISCO-08 (SIOPS, ISEI), UK SOC2020 and SOC2010 (CAMSIS, NS-SEC), US SOC2000 (CAMSIS), and US Census 2010 (PRESTG, SEI). Occupation titles are provided where available from ILO, ONS, and Census Bureau sources.
Note: Many cells are NA because each coding system provides different
scores. For example, PRESTG10/SEI10 are only available for Census2010
codes, while SIOPS/ISEI are only available for ISCO codes. Use the
code_system column to filter to a specific classification.
